Creating a Rainbow Activity
Today I am going to share such a simple and beautiful activity to do with your little ones this spring. Whether you’re talking about Noah’s Ark, weather systems, or just the season of spring - this easy to do activity will be sure to win over your little students.
Simply take a paper towel and color the two ends of it in a rainbow pattern with regular, washable markers. We colored about two inches up on the paper towel to make sure our rainbow pattern was there and would reach enough to make us a beautiful rainbow. You also want to make sure the children are able to see and establish the color pattern of a rainbow.
Place each end of the paper towel into a glass of water and allow the paper towel to create an arch over the two glasses. Then wait for the magic to happen as the colors will begin to run up the paper towel and create a beautiful rainbow! It does take a bit of time, so make sure to have patience as you wait for your rainbow to appear.
I’m always on the hunt for simple activities that I already have the supplies for, it just makes my life easier. So from one simple mama to another - go make a rainbow!
After the storm, you’ll find your rainbow!
