Pumpkin Activities and Crafts for the Kids
It’s one of my very favorite seasons around here and it’s such a cozy time to sit with the children and create some memories and pumpkin themed crafts. Today I am sharing a roundup of pumpkin activities and crafts from some beautiful homeschool mamas. I encourage you to take the links to their profiles to visit them and see the beauty within their days. These mamas are so encouraging and share beautiful snippets of homeschooling, nature schooling and more. Whether you homeschool or not, I hope you find a fun activity (or two) below to do with the kiddos this season!
The kiddos and I created this precious little thumbprint pumpkin patch. Each child used their thumb to create their own pumpkin and grass. Feel free to label each child’s pumpkin with their name or a jack-o-lantern face and then laminate as a cute keepsake! Find this sweet craft and more over on my instagram.
Where’s all of the pumpkin spice lovers at? Make your own pumpkin spice play dough by using pumpkin pie spice as an ingredient for scent. Such a beautiful fall activity from Wildwood Learning. Visit her profile for the full recipe and more beautiful homeschool activities.
How darling are these needle felt wool pumpkins? You can use these as pin cushions or shelf decor during the autumn season. I love that the crafter and homeschool mama, Leah Damon, even added drops of essential oils to use them as a natural diffuser! I wish I knew how to do things like this. #oneday
This is the sweetest idea to do with your little ones this season. Go on a nature walk or head to the local florist to grab some autumn mums and create your own pumpkin masterpiece with mother nature! Thanks to Brit at the Smitty Fam Gram for sharing this beautiful idea. Her feed is stunning, make sure to visit it!
How about working on the anatomy of a pumpkin with simple things you can find around the home? Brittany over at The Whole Home shared her full activity here and I love how the craft was partnered with wonderful activities that went along with their regular lessons. This sweet mama shares some great things!
I adore this sweet pumpkin scene! Natalie over at My Mountain Wild used apples for pumpkin painting and the starry sky and sweet jack-o-lantern faces just make this a keepsake! Please go visit the beauty in this mama’s feed.
Destiny over at The Day Home shared such a precious idea! She used mums to paint a pumpkin picture with her son. How fun, simple and creative! Make sure to visit her beautiful feed for more inspiration.
