Crockpot Bacon Wrapped Pork Loin Recipe

Are you looking for more crockpot recipes in a world full of instapots? One of my favorite things to do is use my crockpot! Sometimes it feels like I cook the same things over and over inside of it, and sometimes it feels like it’s getting harder to find good recipes. We still don’t have an instant pot and quite honestly, they scare me a tad. I prefer to use the traditional crockpot. With our busy days, it pays to have a delicious dinner cooking down all day long. I would never be able to cook a delicious and tender meat like this without my crockpot.

Recently I threw a pork loin in the crockpot and it was incredible! So I tried to recreate it again and we all loved it again. I have to warn you that it is a tad on the sweet side, so this is likely why the kids love it so much. But who doesn’t love a hearty meal for the whole family?

Pork loins can be so tough sometimes, or dry out when you cook them in the oven or on the smoker. It’s sad when a pork loin looks so good but lacks juicy flavor. With a crockpot pork loin, the meat will stay juicy and full of delicious flavor! As you can see above, this is no dry pork loin here!

recipe

  • 1 Pork Loin

  • 4-5 pieces of bacon

  • Drizzle of Olive Oil

  • One Stick of Butter

  • Salt, Pepper and Tony Chachere’s (optional Cajun seasoning) to taste

  • 1 packet of dry Ranch seasoning

  • About 1/2 cup brown sugar

Wrap the pork loin in bacon. You can choose to wrap it completely in bacon or just drape the pieces of bacon on top. Drizzle olive oil on the pork loin and season with salt, pepper and Cajun seasoning if you wish. We use Tony Chachere’s in our home for nearly everything because we are cajun and love a little spice, but this step is not necessary.

Top the pork loin with a packet of dry ranch seasoning and then top and coat with your brown sugar. Finally top if off with a stick of butter and cook on low for about 8-10 hours (or high for 6 hours). If you’re home and able to, pour some of the liquid on top of the pork loin (basting it) throughout the day just to keep it moist and full of flavor.

You’ll be able to serve this pork loin straight out of the crockpot and cover it with with the delicious liquid. Pair it with a little mashed potatoes or noodles and some green beans or fresh veggies. We also love to have dinner rolls with a dinner such as this because the kids love to make little meat sandwiches with their rolls and meat. And if you’re lucky, you should have some leftovers for later!

Bon appetit!
