My Valentine's Love Letters
Dear Daughter,
Today is your first Valentine's Day and mommy may be slightly over excited for that. Unfortunately you do not really know what's going on, but one day you will learn that this is one of mama's favorite days of the year.
I tell you that I love you all day long, each and every day. I kiss your chubby cheeks, your squishy hands and your soft belly all day long as well. I hold you close into my arms and snuggle you tight many, many times throughout the day and I enjoy every second of it.
Years from now, will I remember just how those chubby cheeks felt and will I remember how tiny those squishy hands were? I sure hope so. I want to remember the way you hug me tight in times of comfort and the way you stare at me from below and give me the sweetest smile while looking straight into my eyes, reaching the depths of my soul. It's those moments where I know that we are connected in a way that no one else can be. You may not be in my tummy any more, but our bond is deep.
It wasn't that long ago that my heart kept your heart beating in the safe haven of my belly, and now here you are in the "real" world learning and exploring. I want to keep you safe and protect you from all harm because you ARE my heart. Most of all, I want to show you so much love. I love you endlessly and I want to tell you that each and every day.
If I said the words, "I love you" every minute of every day, then it still wouldn't be enough. There are no words to describe just how much I love you. And there are no words that I can ever use to describe just how much I need your love. You may not be able to say, "I love you" with words, but I can feel your love for me in so many ways. That is perhaps the greatest feeling I've ever known.

P.S. Sixteen years from now you will hope to have a real Valentine on this day; a boy to shower you with chocolate and roses. I hope you always look for a man like your father because he is the most amazing man you'll ever meet. The way he loves you and the way he loves me, is a beautiful, beautiful thing. He's a beautiful, beautiful man and I can't wait for you to grow up and see just how simply amazing he is.

Each and every Valentine's Day is a special one for me. It's one of my favorite days of the year and I love all of the mushy stuff (you know that). But this one is different. Now, I have two Valentine's and that's all because of you.
Our love has brought us the greatest blessing. Our love has given us new roles in life; the never ending joys of parenthood. It amazes me how I always think I couldn't love you anymore than I already do; and yet here I am loving you even more this year because now I see you in a new light.
The love you have for me and your daughter is endless and it shows. We are blessed beyond measure to call you "ours." You've been my best friend for almost ten years now (dang) and now here you have a new little gal to be your buddy as well. A mini me, (we hope, hehe) isn't that nice? You'll not only have me to buy chocolate covered strawberries for, but her little self as well.
You have our love for eternity. You have our hugs and kisses for the rest of your life. Sure she'll grow up and find a guy, but she'll still be daddy's girl. You'll always have me here though. Isn't that a fun thought? You have the REST of your life with me. That's a lot of chocolate covered strawberries you'll be purchasing every February. :-)
You do have me for forever. I am yours and always will be. I will always love you endlessly. You are truly, truly an amazing person. You make me laugh, you make me feel secure and you give me the "heebie jeebies" a lot (the good kind).
