I'm a "Student" Again

Ah the joys of a Saturday. The joys of a quiet house at the moment with a baby sleeping. A baby sleeping who put herself to sleep (yes this is going on a lot this week - OH MY). And the joys of that sweet little image above.

Awhile back I shared some fun news with everyone about my interest in becoming a Certified Childbirth Educator and a Certified Breastfeeding Counselor. I'm SO happy to say that as of yesterday I am officially a "student" and in training. Thank the good Guy upstairs that I can do all of this from the comfort of my home and my pajamas.

One day when my Little Bug starts surfing through all of my posts on my blog she'll realize just how much she changed my life. She's opened my eyes to so many new things and new passions. She's helped me come into myself. I'm so grateful to her for being that little kick in the butt I needed to discover even more things about myself. I've always been comfortable in my own skin, but it's just nice to shed a layer and reveal a new one.

I'm excited and nervous about this new journey all at once. Excited to start learning about something I'm so passionate about but nervous at the idea of becoming a student again. I always did great with online courses in college but with those you HAD deadlines. With my new training it's all up to me. That's great and all, but with a toddler and a blog I pour a lot of time into I am nervous about finding out a schedule for all of this.

I've said it a million times on here that I beat myself up if I don't post something or if I don't post something that's really worth reading; I don't know why I do that. I know you guys don't wait each day for my little ole' blog posts. Either way, I intend on doing every day posts as usual but I'm thinking that Sundays will be a break day for me. We'll see about that.

I hope that I can nip this training in the butt and not let it drag on for too long. I'm nervous about that too. I also have my nerves about finding the avenues to actually be a birth professional part time to make the expense and time of training worth it. I was blessed with an opportunity to speak this past week at my doctor's clinic regarding my birth and I got to network with other local birth professionals. Another wonderful thing is that our area is getting a new birth center and I'll be mingling over there in March. Ah, the excitement. In the past week I am really starting to see that once I am done training, I really might be able to make something out of this. I hope so.

So here's to new things, new adventures and new beginnings.

Thanks Little Bug for all that you do for me; for all the ways in which you love me and for all the things that you have taught me.

How do you balance a blog with life?
Do you post daily or give yourself breaks?
I'd love your input!

Thanks for reading, Sasha
