Baby's Nursery

It's possibly quite sad to admit this, but I've had the babies nursery items picked out since somewhere around September/October. And let me tell you that it was no easy feat. I've had in my mind for a very long time that the baby's nursery would be turquoise and white no matter what the sex. The accent color would be based upon the baby's sex: coral for girl or rustic orange for boy. After learning that I was pregnant and knowing that I wanted a gender neutral (no theme) nursery I quickly began my search for baby bedding.

Uh boy. The task became frustrating because everything I found that I had envisioned for little peanut was extremely expensive. Places like Target and Babies R' Us didn't have any sets that matched my colors and preferences (although they have precious stuff).

Finally, I stumbled onto The Land of Nod where I found the perfect bedding as well as the most precious accents. I had already had in my mind a slight elephant theme in memory of my grandmother who loved elephants. So once I found what reminded me of a vintage circus that would be ideal for a touch of elephants, I knew it was for me. So yes, I created my registry then and there while only being in my second month.

I still haven't found anything I love more. Sure if it's a boy an airplane theme would be cute for my pilot husband and of course a ballerina theme would be precious for my daughter; but I'm not all about pink. So in the end, I really don't think that little Baby S' gender will change my mind. Hope baby likes elephants!
